"summer is when laziness finds respectability"

This post is essentially just a catch up and end to my month (upon month) long bloggers block. Although this summer never really seemed to happen, there was minimal sun and minimal plans - contradicting my expectations of the "best summer of my life" that I thought was supposed to finishing school (?!) I have lacked any inspiration for post's following a stressful time of GCSE exams I was simply far too focused on revision and panicking for results day to fit in blogging. However, having received my results, which were a pretty little mixture composed of A's and A*'s, I am feeling very content with life and can't wait to go back to writing so WATCH THIS SPACE.

Topshop Unique AW15

At 2:30 this afternoon, Topshop Unique took to the Tate Britain to unveil their new autumn-winter collection, as part of their London Fashion Week display. The front row was star-studded with models Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevigne sat alongside fashion journalist, Alexa Chung. The collection featured a lot of fur and feather trim, teamed with chunky knits and tan leather, the autumnal colour scheme providing connotations of the countryside; with a lot of the audience describing  the collection as having "country bumpkin" feel. 

The AW collection has a focus on texture, Topshop paring rough leather with fur creating a juxtaposition; like the contrast between delicate floral prints and the daring gingham fabrics.

Spring Snapshots

One of, or perhaps even my favourite, things to photograph are flowers. I'm not a huge nature person but I really appreciate it, I think everyone should take the time to study their surroundings; when you're having a bad day I find it nice to refresh myself with what we really have. Anyway, here's a few of my many floral photographs, since it's almost summer I think my blog needs some blossom to brighten it up.

Mothers Day

This mothers day my mum was giving no hints and i really mean NO hints and so rather than panic buy her yet more bath bits to add to the contents of the bathroom cupboard i decided to get some treats and create a simple yet sweet high tea. I added the Thornton's fudge, pink coconut macaroons and a daisy cupcake to the layers of our cake stand and make us both tea in these adorable vintage tea cups. To add to the mood i lit a few candles and picked a flower from our garden, putting it in an empty jar (so pintrest). What did you do for mothers day this year? I could do with some inspiration for the next!

Company Magazine // April 2014

This months issue of Company magazine featured the blogger-sphere's very own, Zoella (Zoe Sugg) on the front cover! Zoe is a big inspiration of mine and walking into Tesco and seeing her face on the front of such a popular magazine fills me with joy. I've met Zoe personally and she is the loveliest, most deserving woman. It just shows you where blogging can get you.  

This issue was based around the city of London, from an interview with the mayor to the styles in different boroughs. Company gave us an insight to the up and coming spring trends (which i can't wait for ), be expecting a lot of pastels! It seems the Mac - St.Germain rave will soon make a re-occurrence, it's all about the "chalk" girls.

The free gift with the April issue was Company's "lashes" mascara. The packaging on this product is a gorgeous matte black plastic that provides maximum grip, meaning it's like likely for you to end up with a blob of black on your nose. I have only tried this mascara once and so i'm not the best critic but it did provide me with a full coverage, lengthiness the lashes slightly and separating them. I think it's more of an everyday rush out the house mascara as apposed to partying.

Spring Stroll

I know it's not officially spring time until the 20th of March but it sure does feel like it. Flower's are beginning to bloom and the sun is shining. Me and my mum stopped of on the way back from school for a stroll in my local forest and fields and i decided to snap some pictures, we also found this fox. What i think is a she, was sat just in-front of us we could have reached out and touched it if we hadn't panicked and tried to sneak away before it killed us. Haha.

“A mind That nobleness made simple as a fire, With beauty like a tightened bow” | Lemon Milk Etsy

Bows are my one of my favorite things so when this parcel arrived at my house i was overjoyed. I have lusted over Lemon Milk an etsy store selling handmade, gorgeous bows for ages so to finally have one is so great. Lev who owns the store was kind enough to send me a bow, all the way from Canada, in return for a post so of course i jumped on the offer. For those of you who aren't familiar with her store you can visit it here. Warning, you will fall in love.

In my parcel i received the "spring flowers" hair bow, a gorgeous mint green fabric with dainty lilac flowers printed all over. I love the way it's so colorful, now its fall time I'm always looking for something to jazz up my outfit and add a pop of color so im sure this bow will hardly leave my head in the coming months.

 She also wrote me this ever so cute note in a thank you card. I think packaging is so important when it comes to etsy and she certainly didn't disappoint. The bow was rapped in a pink paper and the card appears to be homemade, i love how you can tell just how much Lev puts into her business, it totally pays off.
